Jim Simpson is beginning his
fourth decade as a professional
educator. His career has
included: service as a teacher
and administrator in the public
schools (including thirteen
years as a Superintendent);
experience in higher education
serving as a
teacher/administrator educator;
and directing the
Certification/Licensure Division
at the Kentucky Education
Professional Standards Board.
Jim received his Ph.D. from
Peabody College at Vanderbilt
University and has served as a
consultant to local schools and
districts, the Kentucky
Department of Education, and the
United States Office of
Education.
Jim’s wife, Kim, is an
elementary school teacher in
Pendleton County Schools. Kim
and Jim have two children,
Whitney and Nicholas, both of
whom are college students. |
