Dr. Burch was the 1999 recipient of the John
Walker Manning Distinguished Mentor and Teacher Award.
In 1994 and 2001, she was named Favorite Professor by
the Alpha Lambda Delta honorary. In Spring of 2005, she
was recognized as Outstanding Academic Adviser. She was
the recipient of the Cawthorne Excellence in Teaching
