- Brown Scholar events included the annual etiquette dinner for freshman Scholars at the Lafayette Club in Lexington, KY, a ski trip to Perfect North Ski Slopes in Lawrenceburg, IN, and a Senior Sendoff dinner held at Dr. Alma Hall's home.
- On Academic Honors Day, several Brown Scholars were recognized
for their academic achievements.
- Ryan Barnette received the English Creative Writing Award
- Rachel Brewer received the Coleman Arnold Award for Excellence in Upperclass Research in English
- Charles Casey received the Outstanding Major award in both Mathematics and Physics, as well as the Joseph-Beth Award in Computer Science
- Ben Hall also received the Outstanding Major Award in Mathematics, as well as the Senior Economics Award
- Chelsea Johnson was the recipient of the Chemistry Outstanding Freshman Award and the Biology Award for First-Year students
- Emily Major received the Joseph-Beth Award in Religion
- Bethany Meier accepted the Art Digital Media Computer Graphics Award
- Abigail Riddle and Amanda Scott built upon their success in 2005 as the co-recipients of the Biology Award for Second-Year students.
